Forex Lot Multiplier Calculator
Scale a known lot size from one account balance to another, apply an explicit risk factor and round down to the lot increment your broker supports.
Formula: baseline lots × (target balance ÷ baseline balance) × risk factor. This proportional shortcut does not recalculate trade-specific risk.
How to scale a forex lot size
- 1
Record the baseline
Use an account balance and lot size from the same tested risk process.
- 2
Enter the target balance
Use the balance of the account you are planning for—not deposit capacity or available margin.
- 3
Choose a risk factor
Keep 1× for proportional scaling. Any other factor deliberately changes relative exposure.
- 4
Verify the target trade
Cross-check the actual symbol, stop distance and account currency with the position-size calculator.
For trade-specific sizing, use the Forex Position Size Calculator.
Lot Multiplier Calculator FAQ
What is a lot multiplier calculator?
A lot multiplier calculator scales a known baseline lot size by the ratio between two account balances and an explicit risk factor. It is a planning shortcut, not a replacement for risk-based position sizing.
What formula does the forex lot multiplier use?
Target lots = baseline lots × (target balance ÷ baseline balance) × risk factor. This calculator rounds the result down to the lot increment you select.
Why does the result round down?
Brokers accept specific lot increments such as 0.01. Rounding down avoids displaying a size above the calculated proportional result, but it does not prove the trade risk is suitable.
Does the same lot multiplier create the same risk on every account?
No. Contract size, symbol specifications, account currency, stop distance, leverage, slippage and broker rules can differ. Recalculate the target trade with a position-size calculator whenever possible.
Can I save a lot multiplier plan?
Yes. The plan can be saved in this browser without an account and resumed from the XQuantify Workspace. It can also be included in a local workspace backup.
Can I compare several lot multiplier plans?
Yes. Each save creates a snapshot containing the baseline balance and lots, target balance, risk factor, lot increment and rounded result. The newest ten remain in this browser and can be loaded again for rechecking.
Can I share or bookmark a lot multiplier calculation?
Yes. Copy a reusable calculator link containing the baseline balance, baseline lots, target balance, risk factor and lot increment. The optional private plan name is excluded. Anyone opening the link should recheck the target symbol, contract and risk inputs.
